Volunteer with Purpose: Transform Lives at the Brisben Center
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and make a lasting difference in our community? We invite you to be a part of something bigger – supporting children and adults on their journey from homelessness to stability and hope.
Whether you’re preparing and serving meals, creating activities for a child or sharing your skillset through a class, your time and talents help open doors to brighter futures. Your presence can be the turning point in someone’s lives.
Reserve Your Next Meal
If you’re already familiar with our premier meal program, view the calendar of openings and then contact our Kitchen Manager (meals@brisbencenter.org or 540-899-9853 x 112) to confirm date, time and menu.
New to the center and interested in serving?
The Brisben Center provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our residents with the generosity of our volunteers. We prioritize groups that can bring, prepare and serve meals, though we have dedicated days for individuals to provide help in the kitchen as well.
- All meals must meet nutritional requirements and include a protein, grain, carb, dairy, fresh vegetables, and fruits. These can be combined, i.e spaghetti with meat sauce.
- No one under 16 is permitted to cook in the kitchen but may assist in serving the meal.
- There must be a point of contact (name, phone number, email) for each group.
- For more information about meals, please see the following: www.volunteermatch.org/search/opp3922494.jsp
